The construction involved a number of different vessels undertaking different tasks.
Some of the vessels are designed and built for special purposes, for instance vessels for geotechnical investigations, installation of foundations or cabling. Contracts must be signed for each specific vessel for the particular type of installation work the vessel is to undertake.
Other vessels such as jack-up vessels can be used for several different purposes in the installation process, and they can also be used in the operation and maintenance phase.
The wind farm connects to shore by two export cables buried in the seabed. Conventional techniques were used to install the cables and caused only temporary disturbance to the seabed.
